The vignettes, and the border enclosing them are signed P.V., most probably by Pierre Vase, or Du Vase, son of Jakob Eskrich, and known also as Petrus Escrichius, or Pierre Cruche; they have been erroneously attributed to Pierre Vingle, and to others.
